Fierce!

Yay... it worked! Made a new mold recently and just turned out some of these awesome tiger face pendants.

Unfortunately the other mold I was working on hasn't worked (yet). Will keep trying!

Extremely Silly Season

It's gonna be a busy month ahead - 3 markets! Crafternoon Tea is this Saturday 12th December, and then next weekend is Love Handmade on Saturday 19th December, and Kraftbomb 20th December. I've been working on things every night but still feel like I'm not producing enough! I'll be so happy to have a break by the time Christmas comes.

I have a new product which I'm casting at the moment (resin, of course). Will post some pictures when I have them all finished!

Oh... also going to see Kitty, Daisy and Lewis next week! Excitement...

Market Economy

I'm getting excited about all the new craft markets popping up.

I went to check out the Devonport Craft Market yesterday (not as a stall holder unfortunately). Lots of cool stuff and familiar faces. I'm a big fan of these carnival themed cups from lilysmakebelieve:

Kinda wishing I bought one now! Maybe I'll pick one up at Crafternoon Tea next week, where I'll be a stall holder too.

Also looking forward to being at Kraftbomb at the end of the month and I've also applied for Kraftbomb, Love Handmade and Crafternoon Tea in December. Hope I get to do all of them!

Yikes... I'm gonna go cast some resin now!

New Stuffs!

Here's a couple of new-ish items for your perusal:

These little heart earrings are only around 1.5 cm high...

This set was my Dad's idea, after he saw the pencil earrings.

Russian Doll Necklace. Speaks for itself.

Head in the sand

Okay, so I haven't posted in a really really long time.  Here are my excuses - working hard at uni, working hard at work, and moving into a new home with my lovely.  Excuses are always boring - sorry about that.  Anyway I am here again and hoping that I'll be able to really get into craft stuff again in a big way soon.  I've decided just to do one paper at uni next semester, work 3 days a week and have a little bit more ME time. Which, incidentally includes more crafty time (Woot!).
All this will happen after exams are over, and after my quick trip to Europe in July! Yussss! I'm very excited about that. In the short space of 2 weeks I will be holidaying in Croatia, Rome, London, and Barcelona.  In Croatia I will be visiting Split and also hanging out off the Dalmatian coast on the island of Hvar where my great grandfather came from (and ran away from).  Soooo exciting.  By the way - does anyone know of any AWESOME shops to go to in London? I'm thinking that might be the best place to find Charles a little present.

Yes, that's all for now. I am actually supposed to be studying Company Law right now. How did I pull myself away??

XO

Hello 2009

Happy Belated New Years!

I hope everyone has had some holiday relaxing time!  Our trip to Melbourne was super fun and Charlie and I had a bit of a downer on coming home to boring old normal life and Auckland.  Oh well... I have Europe in July to look forward to - 3 weeks spent in Croatia, Rome, Barcelona and maybe a couple of days in London.  Yay!

I'm in the thick of summer school now and I'm not enjoying it like I did last year, thanks to no longer living in a holiday destination (Waiheke) and a horrible chest infection that has still left me exhausted a week and a half after getting it.  I am, of course still getting awesome marks.

You know what's getting me down today though? Chains.  Yes, chains.  Necklace chains.  It's so hard to find a good necklace chain for my jewellery.  I was excited before Christmas because I thought I'd found an awesome gold plated chain that was exactly what I wanted. Unfortunately I've now found that said gold plated chains quickly lose their gold plate and end up steel coloured.  It's a silly thing to get down about but I am so sick of doing chain research instead of thinking about fun new ideas.  Blah.... more internet trawling to do.

I need to seriously start making stuff for the Cross St Carnival now which is looking to be an awesome day!
